Falcons Claim 3rd Place at Matthew Marino
Wrestling Tournament Despite Injuries

The Niagara Wheatfield wrestling Falcons took third place at the tough Matthew Marino wrestling Tournament at Webster Schroder high school east of Rochester. The Falcons placed third despite losing four wrestlers to injuries midway through the action.

The Falcon wrestlers were led by three Champions. Marcus Popp had an outstanding tournament wrestling at 96 lbs and winning his first Marino wrestling title. Senior Angelo Malvestuto won at 189 lbs. won his fourth Marino title.Finally, Jim Donner, wrestling at 285 lbs, won his second Marino wrestling title.

Taking third place for NW was Anthony Tardibuono wrestling at 103 lbs. Jake Kelly and Adam Donner took fourth place finishes at 171 and 215 lbs. respectively.Taking fifth place for NW was senior Antonio Ventry wrestling at 152 lbs.
